Street children in Ukraine are given shelter

Danfoss has donated money to the organisation Triumph of Heart in Kiev which helps street children and children from families who live in poor circumstances.
Triumph of Heart is active in all parts of the world and has been represented in Ukraine since 1995. In 2006, the organisation built a new house which, apart from being bigger, also makes it possible for between ten and 20 street children to live permanently in the house or until they can return to their families.

Around 50 children, aged between seven and 16, visit the house in Kiev each day after school and have lunch, play or get help with their homework. At the children’s home, the children learn how to be socially skilled, something which they are not taught at home, are offered training which makes them capable of receiving higher education later. Danfoss’ donations were spent on computers and fitting the new house with washing machines, a dish washer and domestic appliances for the kitchen.

Corporate Citizenship

Danfoss’ overall goal within Corporate Citizenship is "keeping our own house in order".
This applies to employees, so that they have an attractive workplace and a healthy work-ing environment. It applies to the environment, where Danfoss products contribute to energy savings, and where the environmental impact of their production is constantly being reduced.
And it applies, in a broad sense, to social and ethical responsibility.
Efforts are continually being intensified, because when employee satisfaction is high, consumption of resources is as low as possible, and the company’s ethics and reputation are good, the result is a positive effect on the accounting bottom line.
